• Auditions are closed to the public and spouses, children and friends are not welcome to attend.
• Auditions are judged by a panel of 4-6 veteran Romantasy Cabaret performers and crew. 
• Auditions are to be done in full make up and costume.
• You must bring your edited music on CD with a protective cover. Both the CD and the envelope must have the song title, artist's name, your name and stage name as well as the name of your act if there is one. You will not get your CD back. 
• Acts in our show typically have a 2 show shelf life but occasionally may be cast for more or fewer.
• Each show's theme is always vaudeville, circus, cabaret, showgirl, burlesque, comedy, freaks, sideshow, carnival, bohemian, unique, flashy and well-costumed with professional, dazzling make-up.
  
• The Halloween show is always our Daringly Sexy Macabre Masquerade show and New Year's Eve which is also a Masquerade Ball. Acts should do their best in staying with the theme, and should try to use vintage music, costumes and ideas. Generally speaking we wont use pop music, goth or metal, and try to play with the eras before the 1960s.
• Auditions will be judged on: Preparedness of routine, music edited on CD and in a protective covering to leave with director, costume(s) 100% ready, punctuality, professionalism, personality, stage presence, confidence, ability to fit the role for this type of show, creativity, open-mindedness, honesty, and integrity.
• We dont audition individuals to train. We audition complete acts, all roles already filled, props already made, costumes already created. If you have a desire to be one of our "showgirls" for group dance numbers you must successfully complete Mizz Lucy's School for Wayward Grrrls, be invited to perform as a guest student dancer in at least two shows, and adhere to the rules of VaVaVoom and Romantasy Cabaret.
  
• Nudity is optional to be a showgirl.

Each show has two group rehearsals where we run the entire show. Dry Run is a casual run-through day and the day we create our show's opener & closer.

Dress Rehearsal day is the day we run the entire show in costumes and with props to test the timing for a fluid and smooth show. Attendance is required at both and those are held on Sundays from 12-3:30pm.
